ARTIST STATEMENT
ARTIST STATEMENT
Surrounded by beautiful Australian Spotted Gum trees, a magnet for birds and bees. Spring 2025, I began the long process of setting up a camera obscure throughout my very large 125-year-old Australian homestead on my rural Gippsland property, Victoria, Australia.
Obtaining lenses from Bonfoton a Finnish based company, I watched the silence and the emptiness of drought and wild wind sculptured forms on the wall in my large attic bedroom. By January 2026 it was deadly impact, severe heatwaves had already exceeded 40C. In February I smelt the scent of bushfire smoke and watched the sweltering sun turn blood-red due to dangerous out-of-control bushfires still burning in the State of Victoria, documenting a Summer of climate whiplash.
Today I present to you the culmination of my photographic journey - a high resolution fine art print.
My appetite for long-exposure photography in a darken room is worthy of detailed observation with traces of invisible forces of nature and the accidental events of light and time.

PRINTING
Fine Art Paper Print (Unframed)
This unique and exquisite fine art Giclée print is printed on 310gsm Textured Cotton Rag, a premium, museum-grade fine art paper made from 100% cotton - the best in fine art printing.
Crisp, high-definition print details ensures that each print remains vibrant and true-to-life for decades to come.
Each piece is crafted in partnership with an experienced fine art print house in Melbourne, Australia.
Your order is custom printed just for you and is handled with white gloves.
Handle with Care
To keep your prints looking fabulous, they must be handled with care and preferably framed. Oils from your fingertips can mark black prints easily. It is recommended for black prints to be opened and framed by a professional framer. Attempting to open and re roll the print to put back in the tube can damage your print.
Important Note
Talk to your framer about glass for your fine art print.
You should probably consider going with the “upgrade” to Museum Glass.
